How much space do you need?

Jungle Jim is experienced at working in both larger and smaller spaces. His ideal performance area is a 10-foot by 8 foot performance area, with the children sitting on the floor right in front of the performance area. For birthday parties, Jim most often sets up in the living room or other wide open area.

Should we have the children sit in chairs?

Unless it is in an auditorium, it is best to have the children sit as a group on the floor in front of Jim. He will mark his stage so the children know exactly where to sit.

How much set up time do you require?

Jim needs a minimum of 30 minutes set up time in the performance area, preferably without the audience present. 

What do you need for the day of the show?

Jim needs access to electricity and a parking space within 100 feet of the event location. Jim cannot guarantee the scheduled start time without a parking space close to the venue.

Why doesn't Jim perform outdoors?

Being outdoors lends itself to a number of distractions for the audience. Balloons are used in all of Jim's performances, and the wind makes it a bit challenging to keep them from flying away. Weather in New England is predictably unpredictable.

How long has Jungle Jim been performing?

Jungle Jim has been a full time children's entertainer in New England since 2004.

What separates Jim from other entertainers such as magicians is his original material specifically written for children; his skill managing large and small audiences; and his unique combination of comedy, improv, magic and balloon artistry.

How far in advance should we book Jungle Jim’s?

We have limited availability depending on the time of the year. We recommend booking 2 - 3 months in advance.

How much does a Jungle Jim performance cost?

Jim's prices factor in type of event, time of the year and other variables. Please Contact Us for pricing about your event.

How much is the deposit and when is it due? When is the final payment due?

We require a 50% deposit on all events. Final payment is due the day of the event.

Do you charge a travel fee?

We charge a small travel fee for events outside of Somerville, MA.

What is your refund policy if for some reason I need to cancel or alter my date?

Deposits are non-refundable two weeks after booking. Event dates may be rescheduled contingent on availability.

What if bad weather causes me to cancel my event?

Jim makes every effort to be at an event when bad weather hits. Deposits are non-refundable, but can be used for a future event up to six months from the date of the original event.
